Charles Darwin – 165

Darwin is known to many people as the naturalist who is given credit for the “Theory of Evolution”, which was inspired by the wildlife he saw on the Galapagos Islands. During his five week-stay there, between the months of  September and October 1835, he was able to observe many things that would later change the way many people look at evolution and the natural world in general. It was also during his voyage that he was able to get more ideas for his book, On the Origin of Species.

Thanks to Charles Darwin, the Galapagos Islands is still a largely protected sanctuary today. In 1835, following his departure from it, he went to Tahiti. It may have been over a century since then, but his theory, now referred to as Darwinism, is still largely recognized and used. One wouldn’t have even thought that this simple, yet very intelligent and observant man, had an IQ of 165.
