He is well known for his bestselling hit single Splish Splash which was supposedly written in under 12 minutes. Other hits he is known for include Mack the Knife, Dream Lover, and Beyond The Sea. The renowned singer, who had a total IQ of 137, is also a member of MENSA. Based on old reports, he did well in school but had to deal with bullying while growing up. This only helped develop his mental state.
At the age of 24, he was offered a multi-million dollar contract but he turned it down. It would have been too much investment money and Bobby Darin was only really looking to surpass Frank Sinatra’s fame. He may not have achieved the same level of success, there’s no doubt that Bobby Darin’s name is up there with other Hollywood icons. His songs are still being listened to, even to this day, and his legacy lives on.
