Francis Ford Coppola – 117

American screenwriter, producer, and film director Francis Ford Coppola is a central figure in the filmmaking movement in New Hollywood throughout the ’60s and the ’70s. Widely known as one of the best filmmakers of all time, he is the recipient of numerous accolades, including six Golden Globe Awards, a British Academy Film Award, two Palmes d’Or, and five Academy Awards. His work on The Godfather (1972) cemented his reputation as a filmmaker, which revolutionized filmmaking in the gangster genre.

Before he became a famous filmmaker, he first earned his degree in Theatre Arts from Hofstra back in 1960, and then, he attended UCLA Film School. When he was young, he was once considered the black sheep and was always told that he did badly in school and had a low IQ. However, that is nowhere close to the truth. Coppola has an IQ of 117, which is considered to be above average.
