Andrew Wiles – 170
It’s safe to bet that if you ever find yourself proving a 358-year-old mathematical theory, you’re automatically going to belong with the people who have a high IQ. Sir Andrew Wiles proved a mathematical theory called Fermat’s Last Theorem. Previously, Fermat’s Last Theorem was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the World’s Most Difficult Math Problem— at least it was until Sir Andrew Wiles’ 170 IQ score had something to say about it.
Andrew Wiles’ achievement led him to knighthood in 2000. He also had a regular job as a math professor at Princeton. If you’re ever going to get a math degree at the esteemed Ivy League university, then you’ll most likely get to know the person who proved the 358-year-old math theory. Proving the world’s most difficult theory gave Wiles a bit of celebrity status. In fact, Wiles was mentioned in Star Trek as well as in the series of books by Stieg Larsson.
